‘Atlantic Wall’ is a life-long project which I started whilst in my final year at University.  Its aim is to record the remaining gun emplacements and marinepeilstands (MPs) which were originally built as part of Hitler’s Atlantic Wall during World War 2 (from Norway to the French border with Spain).  In addition to forming an historical record, my final intention is to exhibit the images in such a way that they form a typology.  Creative influences include the work of Bernd and Hilla Becher.

My work has begun in the Channel Islands, one of the most heavily fortified areas along the Wall.
